why choose us- 3 Key benefits

Frosted privacy film for offices in Vaughan

Energy Efficiency & Lower Bills

Privacy film acts as a secondary layer of insulation.

  • Summer: It reflects solar heat (Infrared rays) away from the glass, keeping your home cooler and reducing the load on your AC by as much as 30%.
  • Winter: "Low-E" privacy films can help retain heat inside the room, preventing it from escaping through the glass.

UV and Heat Protection

Most privacy films block up to 99% of UV rays. While this is great for your skin, the biggest benefit is for your home’s interior:

  • Preserves Furniture: It prevents the "sun-bleaching" of expensive rugs, hardwood floors, and artwork.
  • Museum Quality: This is the same technology museums use to keep ancient artifacts from disintegrating under light exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at filmxpro.co@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

This is the most common concern. It depends on the type of film:

  • Frosted/Decorative Film: These provide 24/7 privacy. Even with lights on inside at night, people outside can only see vague shadows.
  • One-Way Mirror Film: These rely on light balance. They work great during the day, but at night, the effect reverses. if your lights are on inside and it's dark outside, people can see in perfectly. You will still need curtains or blinds for nighttime privacy.

Generally, no. Most houseplants need visible light to photosynthesize, which privacy film still allows through. While the film blocks harmful UV rays (which prevents your furniture from fading), most plants actually thrive because the film reduces "leaf burn" from intense, direct heat.

There is a slight trade-off. Frosted films typically allow about 70% to 90% of natural light to pass through. The room will feel softer and the glare will be gone, but it rarely feels "dark." Mirror films tend to darken a room more significantly than frosted ones.

You can’t use just any cleaner. Ammonia-based sprays (like original Windex) can eventually degrade the film or its adhesive.

  • The Pro Method: Use a mixture of water and a few drops of baby shampoo or mild dish soap. Use a soft microfiber cloth or a clean squeegee. Never use paper towels, as they are surprisingly abrasive and can cause tiny "swirl" scratches over time.

If you just finished the install, don’t panic! These are often "water pockets."

  • The Curing Period: Depending on the weather, it can take 2 to 4 weeks for the moisture to fully evaporate through the film’s pores. The bubbles should flatten out on their own. Do not poke them with a needle unless they are still there after a month, as this can ruin the seal.
